Parents/Guardians of Juniors/Century Class of 2014 - We need your help!

Each year, parents of the graduating class at Century plan and host a party for the graduating seniors the evening of graduation. This is an all-night, lock-in style party at Century with entertainment, games, food, and decorations. This event starts following graduation and this year will be held Saturday, June 8.

Here is how junior parents traditionally help out the senior parents on the day of graduation. Your help allows the senior parents to enjoy the hours before and during the graduation ceremony of this memorable event for their graduates and their families.

If you are interested in volunteering, please click on the following VolunteerSpot link to sign up: http://vols.pt/hxZfHc

Saturday, June 8 – We need multiple junior parents to help with various things throughout this day.
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Ten junior parents to organize the storage shed where all the decoration materials for the class of 2014 decorations will be stored.
2:45 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. – Four junior parents to be at Century to assist during the community walk-through of the 2013 senior party decorations. This is a time when the community is invited to take a tour of Century and see the 2013 senior party decorations. We need junior parents to monitor the building and ensure security of all the senior party decorations.

Sunday, June 9
5:00 a.m. – Yes! You read that time correct. This is your chance to get one last peek at the decorations from the senior party this year and safely salvage and store away the games, decorations, and supplies for use at your students’ senior graduation party in 2014. Last year 50+ junior parents got the cleanup job done and items safely stored away in the storage shed in less than 2 hours. They had a great time and some even went out for breakfast afterwards!

Many hands will make this job go really quick. If you have any questions, please email centuryseniorparty2014@gmail.com.
The parents of the Class of 2013 are truly grateful for your support. Go Panthers!

Parents - Donations to Senior Party are Welcome!

Dear Parents -
The student registration fees provide only part of the funding for the Senior Party. Fundraisers, donations from local businesses and donations from parents are important to making the Senior Party a success. All donations are tax deductible and no donation is too small.

How to make a donation:
  • Bring to the Century main office (mark Senior Party 2013 on the envelope),
  • Mail to Shan Stewart, Treasurer, 2422 Crimson Ridge Circle NW, Rochester, MN 55901
  • Arrange pick up of donations - contact us at centuryseniorparty2013@gmail.com
  • If you know of a local business who would be willing to make a donation toward the Senior Class Party, please email centuryseniorparty2013@gmail.com.
The Senior Party Planning Committees are working hard to make sure that every graduating senior looks back on this night as a great celebration of their high school experience. Please help us make this a special - and safe - night for them. We appreciate your assistance and support.

Century Staff Appreciation Week - May 6-10 - Treats Needed May 9

Dear Century Parents,
Staff appreciation week is next week May 6-10. The Century PTSA will be recognizing the entire Century staff all week. We need your help on Thursday, May 9. We are looking for parents to donate homemade or store bought baked goods (cookies, bars, muffins, etc) Or fresh fruit or a bag of chocolates! We will share these treats with the entire Century staff in the staff lounge all day! It is important to remember to send your donation on a disposable tray/plate.

Please drop off your donated items at Century between 7:00-7:40 a.m. on Thursday, May 9. We will have parents outside the front doors near the drive up circle collecting your donation, so you don’t even have to get out of your car!
Please e-mail Kathryn Firl at kathrynfirl@gmail.com if you would like to make a donation.

Also, we are encouraging parents and students to write a thank you note to any of the Century staff for another great year. You can drop off your thank you notes on Thursday morning with the volunteers out front of Century, or feel free to distribute to the staff at your convenience. This is a great time to write notes of appreciation to the teachers/staff at Century who help our students everyday at school. Notes to specific teachers will be placed in their mailboxes. Notes to the staff in general will be posted in the lounge!

The countdown is on...With only six weeks left of school, we are stepping up our fundraising efforts for the Senior Class Party. One of the easiest ways to support these efforts is to purchase Kwik Trip cards. Remember, dollar-for-dollar, you receive exactly what you put into the fundraiser; we receive 10% from Kwik Trip on every sale.

Looking ahead to graduation and summer vacations, think of all the ways that you could use Kwik Trip cards:

  • Trips to the lake, cabin, summer vacation, visiting relatives
  • Sports tournaments
  • Thank you gifts to teachers, coaches, mentors, carpoolers, nannies, etc.
  • Quick (Kwik!) trips around town
The list is endless; plan ahead. Everyone appreciates Kwik Trip gift cards -- they are definitely a gift that won't be returned. They're easy to use -- at the pump, in the store, at the car wash -- and your receipt always shows remaining balance.

How can you purchase cards?
